MARY
MINTON represents distinctive style and individuality. The collection
is influenced by Minton's love of semi precious stones in nugget
form. Combining natural shapes and textures with bold, rich color, each creation becomes as individual and distinctive
as the person who wears it. Nothing is ever mass produced.
Creativity
is not new for Minton. Educated in Texas, she earned her degree in Interior Design
from Texas
Christian University
in 1985. Licensed by the Texas Board
of Architectural Examiners, she practiced her profession in Fort
Worth. Mary has served as a member of the adjunct faculty at Texas
Christian University, as well as a member of the Texas Christian
University Interior Design Professional Advisory Board.
A trip to Sundance,
Utah
, served as the catalyst and
inspiration for Minton to develop her passion for handcrafted
jewelry. Her training in silversmithing began at the
Sundance
Art
Center
in 1999. She returned to
Sundance in 2001, continued her study, and began to focus her design experience
toward creating unique handcrafted jewelry. Minton's first collection was
introduced in 2002.
Minton resides in Fort Worth,
Texas, and Santa Fe, New Mexico.
